We machine every plate from hardened steel, then finish it with a corrosion‑resistant phosphate coating so it stands up to years of hard use. While many aftermarket mounts are built from lightweight aluminum or unhardened steel, we choose heat treated/hardened steel for extra strength and stability under recoil.
