Many plate options are rolling out but they're not all the same. The AP plates are SOLID. Ibought two and have about 3k rounds on my LO setup. I will be buying more in the future.
Found Athena while researching different optics plates last year after seeing their name pop up in a few different places. Almost pulled the trigger on bigger name brand models but glad I went with Athena. The plates I have are perfect fitment and high quality. No issues after hundreds of rounds and dry fire practices, racking the slide using the optic, etc. The customer service and response via email is great if you have any questions.
The fitment and tolerance of the magwell is perfect. Installation was a breeze, just gotta persuade the plug in to get it started and then go from there. I replaced a bigger named more popular magwell that just didn't fit right, had wobble, and overall felt cheap. I had already purchased a couple optics plates from Athena and seen the preorder available for the magwells so jumped on it and so glad I did.
The magwell looks good and feels good, so much more high end feeling than my other one that was twice as much. I was looking for a magwell to push my grip higher up on my g19 while still working with stock mags, tight fit/no wobble, and not overly bulky.
Athena checked all the boxes plus made here in USA. They also are very responsive on email if you have any questions.
Precision cut, great service, really quick turn around. Will bring my business here in the future
The red dot plates are top notch! Perfect fit, came with all require hardware needed.
Good quality product and an amazing customer service.
This a well made plate. The junk plastic that came with the fn502 was horrible, shame on FN. So extremely happy to have found a great American company making this.
Super nice. Only thing that could make it better is if it came with screws.
Phenomenal Product compared to OEM plate. The plate that came from FN was a bad casting. The front lugs had bubbles in the plastic that collapsed when I mounted my optic. Usable, but not ideal, and no way I would think of using my optic to rack the slide. I just feel much more confident in my investment with this plate. 10/5 stars. Thanks guys.
Plates are great as always. Perfect machining and they had to hold my order a few days because their screw machinist was behind… they included extra SRO mounting screws free of charge for thedelay. Excellent plates, excellent customer service. What more could
You ask for?
Absolutely perfect fit on my 500 & Shockwave, both. EPS Carry fits best, standard EPS has a little overhang on the sides, but not enough to bother me personally.
Many folks recommended Athena as an excellent product. Shipped quick. Came with all screws for installation. Don’t forget to order the Loctite! Very simple installation and super quality! See pics for install.
No issues, fit exactly as it was suppose to. Good quality part.Shipped and arrived sooner than I expected. That’s always nice.
Tight fit. The screws that came with it fit perfectly. Appears to be quality product and a solid company.
Fit is perfect and its made from materials that will last a lifetime.
I originally purchased a Tango Down mounting plate for the S&W M&P 2.0 to mount my ACRO. The Tango Down mounting plate was too thick and caused the ACRO to sit too high and causing me to not be able to co-witness with my suppressor sights. My gun also didn't fit in my Safariland red dot holster.
I spent weeks searching for other mounting plates that were thin enough to fix the above issues, but maintained the strength needed for my line of work. I found the Athena mounting plate. The plate appeared to be well made and even came with longer screws than the Tango Down. The guy that installed the Athena plate commented how well the Athena plate was made and the quality of the longer screws were superior to the Tango Down plate. I can now co-witness using my suppressor sights and my gun now fits perfectly in my Safariland holster. I am very happy with my purchase and this company.
This plate was a perfect fit on my 2.0 with an EFLX optic. Its thin profile lowers the optic compared to the thicker factory plate that came with the firearm, resulting in a much cleaner setup and less obscured view of the front sight. It also simplifies mounting by using two screws instead of four.
The only issue I encountered was not having the correct mounting screws for the EFLX—this is an EOTech issue, not a problem with the Athena plate itself. For those running an EFLX, you’ll need 6-32 screws with smaller heads so the battery cover can be removed once the optic is mounted.
Thanks to Athena Precision for making an exceptional product that allowed me to mount my EFLX on my go-to handgun.
Fitment was in spec with no wiggle. Supplied screws to fit plate and optic is a nice touch that I have not seen other companies do.
Great product that finally allowed sight co witness with the 509t. Good job
You saved my life. Perfect and timely manner shipping.
