So, it's a solid plate, first and foremost.the machining was solid, the fit is spectacular, and I especially appreciate the raised female thread holes. But... It is heavy, and it's just a plate. For $80 or whatever it was after shipping, It just left a bit to be desired. I swapped to this because I wanted something lower on the slide to potentially lower 1/3 co-witness to the regular sized night sights that came with my carry comp. I was replacing the calculus kinetics Dog Tag plate because one of my screws had stripped out originally. But then I got to shopping around and found the Athena plate. It looks tremendously thinner than the Dog Tag, and that sounded great given my circumstances and I bought it. The issue is, however, it's snot at all thinner, drastically heavier, and it doesn't come with any of the added machine work that the Dog Tag has. But I did shoot about 400 rounds with the Athena plate and man, like I said at the beginning; it's a perfectly functional, strong AF, and is absolutely capable of doing the Jod. I unfortunately did not stick with this plate though, because CK reached out to me on their own accord and sent me out a totally new Dog Tag unit, no forms required. And that makes the $80 lost a little easier to swallow.
