Besides machining, Athena Precision now offers fine blanking for parts requiring
critical edge definition. Fine blanking is a cost effective manufacturing
technology where the metal is compressed and sheared simultaneously to reduce
the amount of tearing along the edge leaving the part with smooth edges at its
final dimension. Many parts, in volume, can be successfully blanked with none or
minimal secondary operations to provide complete and finished parts at a very
cost effective price point.
